Federico Brognoli

I was born in Brescia, Italy, in 1981, and that Mediterranean light and history have quietly anchored my worldview ever since. After finishing the Academy of Fine Art in my hometown, I moved to Turin to continue my studies at the Accademia Albertina. In 2009, I packed my bags for New York, where I spent eleven intensely generative years before embarking on a nomadic chapter that, since 2020, has seen me split my life between Italy, Mexico, and Florida.My work is driven by a restless curiosity and a deep fascination with the unseen currents of history, symbolism, and the occult. I don't adhere to a single style or medium; instead, my practice moves fluidly between painting and sculpture, often feeling as though several different personalities are chiming in to help realize a single piece. I rarely plan my approach to a new creation. I prefer to step up  raw and unscripted, letting each session unfold as a meditative, spontaneous dialogue between myself and the materials. Recently, this journey inward led me to illustrate and produce a complete 78-card tarot deck, a natural extension of my lifelong obsession with archetypes and esoteric storytelling.If you are drawn to art that embraces the unexpected and honours the mysterious hum beneath everyday reality, I invite you to explore my work.
