Self-portrait  is a unique piece , part of a series that the artist made over the theme of self portrait . It is made with carved plaster to draw attention on the very fragile nature of the being. The intricate volumes and shapes ,together with the texturized surface  reminds us of the marks left by a flow of emotions.

The artwork represents  Brain ripples :brief high-frequency oscillatory neural activities in the brain ,regarded as playing an essential role in several aspects of memory function. One or two seconds before people recall an image they had previous seen, cells in a key memory center in the brain fire together, creating a "ripple" of activity. Seconds before a memory pops up, certain nerve cells jolt into action in sync.
