The Archetype Sculptures collection is an evolving body of work by Federico Brognoli, inspired by his original Zodiac and Tarot illustrations. Rooted in symbolism, mythology, and archetypal imagery, the series reimagines two-dimensional compositions as sculptural reliefs, revealing a new dimension hidden within each image.
Every piece begins as an original drawing before being digitally sculpted by the artist into a three-dimensional composition. The image is not simply reproduced—it is reinterpreted, allowing forms to emerge from the surface through carefully balanced volumes, textures, and depth. As natural light moves across the relief, the artwork continuously transforms, creating an ever-changing dialogue between light, shadow, and material.
Produced using museum-grade, high-resolution 3D printing technology, each sculpture is then meticulously hand-finished, refined, and painted in the artist's studio. Contemporary digital craftsmanship and traditional finishing techniques merge to create works that possess both extraordinary precision and the subtle individuality of handmade objects.
The collection draws inspiration from the enduring tradition of ancient bas-reliefs while embracing a distinctly contemporary visual language. Each design is released as a strictly limited edition of only ten (10) sculptures worldwide.
Once an edition is sold out, that subject will never be reproduced, preserving the rarity and long-term collectability of every artwork.
